update

I just wanted to quickly let you all know that Daylon was able to leave the hospital. Yay! He's still not acting like himself but he has moments throughout the day where he'll take interest in a toy or maybe even smile. I'm hoping that we'll start to see an even bigger improvement in the coming days. He's FINALLY able to open his eyes again for a few moments at a time. Now that I can actually see it, his eyeball isn't in the best shape....well, it hasn't been for the last year, but it's really a mess right now. As far as feeding, he's back down again and I think he's lost more weight. Yesterday, I broke his kidney diet and gave him a few bites of a milkshake. I promised shakes to the kids when we came back from our hike and he just sat there in his chair staring at me with puppy dog eyes. I caved. I was so happy to have him eat calories, I figured the extra protein would be worth it.  I've gotta run. We've got Spring Break (Woo-hoo!) going on here with the kids. More later....

We are so glad to hear that Daylon is home. he is in a better place than that crazy hospital to recuperate. He will do better @ home with all the love, care and attention you all give him. He is one tough cookie and so amazing. That's cute that he wanted some milkshake. HJe wants to do what the other kiddos do. He knows what is going on and what tastes good. Hope you and the kids have a great time on Spring Break.
You really need a Spring Break and some rest. Sure hope he starts eating better and gains the weight he needs too. Take Care and Hang in there Baby Daylon, We Love You and you are in our thoughts and many prayers. Hope to see all of you real soon. Give the kids a big hug and kiss from us and let them know we love them and miss them.

Hi Jen,

I too miss hearing from you.
Thought I'd check in with you.

I am sitting here in the quiet. Dishes still on the table from dinner. My oldest hanging out with me.

We have discussing the problems of the day and how to keep going with a good attitude.

One problem solved and three more to replace it...
We decided the Lord is holding the coloring book with the dot to dot in it and we are wanting to connect the dots so that things will workout in our time table. I imagine in my minds eye, my arm reaching over the coloring book scribbling with my crayon without being able to see the page or the dots. All the while he has things well in hand. He is mindful of all of the dots and what needs to happen to connect them.

Learning to have faith,

Cheryl
