We've had a pretty cool Summer in California, until September when it's decided to climb well over 100 degrees several times. I know, right? Anyway, Daylon has need to spend some time outside everyday to drop off kids at school and then pick up Caleb at noon and pick up Keira at 3pm. Our school was meant to hold 400 and there are 900 enrolled. Needless to say, traffic is Kaaaa-ray-zeee! We have to park down the street and hike it up to the school, no biggie except for the smoldering heat. His skin has just kind of thrown it's hands up in the air and said, "Enough!". His face, chest, legs (especially thighs) and diaper area have just fallen to bits. He's still scabbing though, so that's a good sign that the transplant is still in full swing. I did wrap him back up for a few days last week, but he wasn't having it. He would just roll down the tubifast and rip the transfer off and then scream cause it hurt. I guess that's the down side to transplant. The kids forget their old life and go through culture shock when they have to relive part of it.
I just wanted to post some pictures I took today of Daylon is his super cute cape made by the women in the Corona Stake. So sweet of them and he seriously LOVES it! I had to pry it off of him to sleep. :)
any guesses on what he's saying here? |

Super!Super! Cute... as always.
Love those pictures and his personality shines right through!!!! Yeah for Daylon!
I especially loved the picture with the IV pole with his "feeds". Why? It shows he is getting what he needs and it is in your HOME and not in a hospital!!!! That boy and your family have been through so much, it is good to see your everyday life!
Thanks again for sharing your sweet boy with us. Will pray specifically for protection in the learning to walk stage.

He is looking so cute and happy! The skin on his hands and leg also looks amazing. Lets hope the cool weather comes soon and he gets even better! Looking forward to news that he is learning to walk!
Many hugs and best wishes your way!

Oh that word. Lol! I am sure you are enjoying the terrible twos. Seeing his little tummy tube tether reminds me of a friends little boy. He did not have a pump and would crawl and drag the full bag behind him as he went. It was hilarious.
Thanks for the update. You are doing great Jen!
Dylan is such a cutie!! Love all the pics!! Dont you love it when they learn the word no lol He is looking like he knows that word well!! I hear you on the throwing.. going through the same thing too with my son. Oh boys ;) I can relate with the HEAT and I am glad its cooling down now.... and his skin can have a break!! Hope he doesnt have too many tumbles with the trying to walk!! Hope your family continues to do well. So nice to hear from you :)
Thanks for the update! Glad to hear Daylon is doing good!

I was so happy to see this update... I often wonder how Daylon is doing. He looks so grown up in these pictures, not a baby anymore! Please know that we think of him often and keep him in our prayers.
Very cute pics Jen...I'm sorry to hear that Daylon is having skin issues right now, I hope the weather cools and this passes soon. Love, Becky Pop
