- We're Brian and Jennifer Edling and we have 5 beautiful kids: Keira,8; Caleb,6; Violet and Sadie, 5; and Daylon who turned 3 in July. Daylon was born with a rare disease called Epidermolysis Bullosa. His specific form of EB is Junctional Herlitz. When contact is made with his skin, it blisters and peels or sometimes rips right off. Unfortunately, his form of EB also affects his soft tissues (organs, throat, mouth, eyes etc.) giving most kids with his condition less than one year to live. Thanks to modern technology, there's a new clinical trial Bone Marrow Transplant at the University of Minnesota for severe forms of EB. On June 24, 2010 Daylon became their first JEB patient to undergo transplant. We're all so excited at the prospect of Daylon's improved life! This is the story of our sweet baby Daylon, and life with EB.

Thank you sooooo much for taking the time to brief us on his surgery. We, too, have been praying and worrying that no news could mean that he was bad off and you couldn't get time to get out an update. Yeah! No intubation! Father sure watches out for His children. Much love and prayers continue for you all.

WHOOT - WHOOT for Daylon!! You go little buddy!! I am so thankful to God that he has brought Daylon through another surgery and with such great news! Will continue to pray for his recovery and for that belly to heal.

We have been waiting to see how things went with the surgery. All of you were so heavily in our thoughts and prayers and asking God for everything to go well. God has answered another prayer. Woo Hoo! Thanks so much for updating. We are praying for a speedy recovery from the surgery and that his little belly will heal quickly. GRR Little Baby Daylon, You Go little buddy. We Love All of You So Much and are so thankful for such blessings. Can't wait to see all of you when you come back to CA in Dec. Take Care and Hang in there. Will be waiting to hear more tomorrow and that things will be going well.

Just a quick note to say that 1.) I hope Daylon is doing well, 2.) we keep praying, and 3.) that yesterday when we gave thanks for the wonderful things in our lives I gave thanks for having found Daylon on the internet. Following your journey has had a profound effect on my life. I am a better person, I have a better relationship with God, and I am a better mother because of your son and because you so kinldly share him with all of us, a bunch of strangers.
Daylon's journey has taught me the value of prayer and that prayers are answered if you pray with Faith, are patient and pray for the right things.
We love Daylon and admire you and your husband so very much. We pray for continued strenght for you.
